The rmn² Teaching Program

Within the rmn², we will provide an interdisciplinary training program on neural network development, function, and pathology, with lectures and courses in molecular biology, cell biology, histology, immunohistochemistry, genetics, electrophysiology, behavioral analyses, imaging techniques and clinical methods to MD/PhD and PhD students. This training will be coupled with a structured educational curriculum that is custom-designed for the needs of the graduate students within the program. In addition to PhD-students funded within individual projects, stipends will be awarded to selected highly qualified MD students from the Focus Program Translational Neuroscience Mainz (FTN). The curriculum for MD/PhD or PhD students will also consist of soft skills training, colloquia and an international symposium organized every second year by the students themselves. On average, we expect 50 students who will be part of the rmn2 teaching program.
