“Effector versus Regulatory Mechanisms in Multiple Sclerosis”


The German Research Foundation (DFG) has established a new special transregional research (CRC-TR) under coordination of the University Medical Center Mainz on July 1, 2012. The CRC-TR 128 is funded with a total of around EUR 13.3 million for an initial period of four years. By establishment of the Focus Program Translational Neuroscience (FTN) of Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz (JGU) and the imbedding of all research projects to the clarification and therapy of brain diseases in the new Rhine-Main Neuroscience Network (rmn²) together with the Goethe University Frankfurt/Mainz (GU) created the basis for the successful implementation of this CRC-TR.

Further more involved in this CRC-TR are the Westfälische Wilhelms University Münster, the Ludwig Maximilians University Munich, the Technische University Munich, die GU Frankfurt/Main and the Max-Planck-Institute in Munich, Münster + Bad Nauheim.
